Psalm 112:1, 4, & 7
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands...
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man...
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
There is always hope for those who trust God. The darkness can be oppressive, but the light is never overcome. The bad news of the world can wound us, but if our hope is where it should be, the light still dawns. I pray for my heart to be steadfast, not tossed to and fro by the circumstances of the day.
